The Ask
B Sides came to us looking for more than a redesign. They needed a commerce platform that could improve key performance metrics while supporting a more complex and mature business. The goals were clear: increase conversion rate and average order value, reduce returns driven by fit confusion, and build a technical foundation that could support long-term growth, deeper integrations, and future-facing commerce capabilities.
Our approach
We approached B Sides as a long-term commerce partner, not a one-off project. Our work began with a Shopify Plus migration and a custom Shopify 2.0 theme build, designed to balance editorial storytelling with performance-driven UX.
Alongside the build, we focused heavily on KPI optimization—using CRO insights, behavioral data, and customer feedback to inform design and functionality decisions. Fit education became a central theme of the experience, as denim returns were closely tied to sizing uncertainty. In parallel, we integrated the tools required to support a growing operation across inventory management, email marketing, and social creative workflows.
As the brand matured, we also began preparing the platform for a mid-market to enterprise leap—ensuring the site, data, and architecture were ready for more advanced personalization and emerging Agentic Commerce patterns.
Our Solution
We delivered a custom Shopify Plus experience built on a Shopify 2.0 theme that balances editorial storytelling with performance-driven commerce. The platform was designed to actively support key KPIs, including conversion rate, average order value, and return rate, while remaining flexible enough to grow with the business. A custom denim fit comparison tool was developed to help customers better understand fit and silhouette differences across styles, reducing sizing friction and returns. Alongside the core build, we integrated the systems required to support scale across inventory management, email marketing, and social creative workflows. The result is a future-ready commerce foundation that supports B Sides’ transition from mid-market to enterprise, while positioning the brand to take advantage of emerging Agentic Commerce patterns where discovery, recommendation, and purchase increasingly happen beyond the traditional website.
